These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Legal Merchant website at www.legalmerchant.co.uk ("the Website") and the services offered through it. By using the Website, you agree to be bound by these terms. Legal Merchant Ltd is registered in England and Wales.

2. Our Services

Legal Merchant operates as an introducer and panel management service. We connect individuals seeking conveyancing legal services with qualified, SRA-regulated or CLC-licensed solicitors and conveyancers ("Panel Members") who are independent legal professionals.

Legal Merchant is not itself a law firm and does not provide legal advice. The legal services you receive are provided by the independent Panel Member solicitor to whom we introduce you, under their own terms of engagement.

3. Quotes and Pricing

Quotes provided through Legal Merchant are based on information you supply. If your circumstances or transaction details change, the quoted price may need to be revised. All quotes include an itemisation of legal fees and anticipated disbursements. However, some disbursements (such as local authority search fees and Land Registry fees) are set by third parties and may change.

Legal Merchant does not guarantee that a Panel Member will be available to accept every instruction, or that any particular Panel Member will be able to complete your transaction within your desired timescale.

4. Referral Fees and Affiliate Arrangements

Where you are referred to Legal Merchant by an affiliate (such as an estate agent or mortgage broker), a referral fee may be payable by Legal Merchant to that affiliate. This arrangement will be disclosed to you in the Panel Member's client care letter, as required by the SRA and FCA regulations.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on this Website — including text, images, graphics, and code — is the property of Legal Merchant Ltd or its licensors and is protected by copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent.

6. Limitation of Liability

Legal Merchant provides the website and introductory service on an "as is" basis. We make no warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of the information on the Website. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Legal Merchant shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Website or the services of any Panel Member.

The legal services provided by Panel Members are governed by their own terms of engagement. Any complaint about the legal services provided should be directed to the Panel Member's firm in the first instance, and thereafter to the SRA, CLC, or Legal Ombudsman as appropriate.

8. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
